Yes, I know more systems were impacted, but I think the Crowdstrike
issues really revealed what people actually care about from day to day.
Play:

Valkyria Revolution (XSX) - Bought last week in a big sale, just to have
the disc. I popped it in to test it out and ended up spending a few
hours being really inspired by the story. Most reviewers thought it was
a different parallel reality different to the rest of the Valkyria
games, not understanding that the not-WWII does happen in the 1940s and
this game is set much earlier, in the 1850s. That makes the conflict
being portrayed the not-Crimean War, and given what the current standing
of Russia is in the world that's a narrative with much more resonance
today than when I first played the PS5 game four years ago. I'm inspired
to dig up that disc and play for real.
Want:
--=--
Valora Valley Golf (SAT) - This goes for the better part of $200 on the
American region aftermarket. It's a golf game like any other, except
you're flinging the ball about not in the Scottish highlands or the
grassy hills in Georgia but inside active volcanoes and the between
ziggurats of the lost South American civilisations. It reminds me in
spirit of Pangya Fantasy Golf, where the point of the game wasn't the
actual golf competition but getting to know all of the characters along
the way. It would be absurd to buy a low-resolution, low-polygon, badly
translated sports game for the Sega Saturn but damned if I don't really
want to.
Bin:

Nothing game-related.
Expenditure:

Balance forward - $1,758
