Laser Raiders is a ghost train/light gun hybrid ride at Legoland Windsor.
Brilliantly it also keeps score making it legitimately a game (an ARG
maybe?)

They do the photo on exit thing but they also print scores on them so you
have a chance to benchmark yourself against the last 8 or so people on the
ride.

I noticed with some considerable pride that I wad top of this little
leaderboard with 35,500 points. Which obviously left me wondering how I
fared against the rest of the world.

A quick search back at the hotel brings up a rllmk post boasting about
scoring, wait for it, 35, 500 points! Either we scored the same or Laser
Raiders has a capped score although it seems an odd number to cap it at.

Anybody been on it? Remember what you scored? Was it higher than the magic
35,500? Should my score have been even higher?

Oh the humanity!

There's something similar at Alton Towers, I don't remember my score
but I beat the wife! At the game, I mean.

Ugvm in wife beating shoka!

All the other dads were displaying a worrying lack of competitive spirit at
everything except some water pumping Fire Engine thing. That's a game for
monkeys if you ask me.

yeah, the haunted house ride at AT is like that.

There's a Men In Black ride at Universal Studios in Florida that has
the same setup too, i seem to remember absolutely battering (in a
score sense, obv) my family at that back in the day...
